Here we are, mourning the senseless killing of 2 teachers, and 19 school children. Another sick person goes unchecked and manages to buy an AR-15, or AK47, whatever, whichever.
How come there are algorithms to catch half-truths or lies (According to The Powers That Be) within minutes of being posted, they are flagged and supposedly fact-checked.
This sick individual posted on Facebook 30 minutes before the school shooting that he was going to shoot his Grandmother, and 15 minutes later, after he indeed shot her in the face, he posted that he had just shot his grandmother and that he was heading to a nearby school!
So, Zuckerberg, why not come up with an Algorithm to catch these statements, and have someone in authority (local police, state police, whatever) immediately check it out and have officers track this person down for at least a welfare check, and if it turns out to be nothing, a sick prank, whatever, at least it was met head-on. I would rather they were sent to a false alarm, than not, but even if it stops even one more mass shooting, it would be all worth it, no matter the cost. Otherwise, this will happen more and more as sick individuals slip through the cracks, and the amount of damage to humans this past few years will live on for a long, long time.
This may sound a little out there, but in this day and age, I’m sure if Zuckerberg spent a few dollars of the $117 Billion that he made last year alone, I believe a solution could be found.
